Perseid Meteor Showers

Anyone been watching the Perseid Showers?
The wife and I are going to drive over to the desert tonight
and watch the show. Tonight is the best display.

Jim, we have about a 500' celing because of the fog. Let us know how it was.

We'll only be able to see if the smoke clears out of the valley (Sac area). It's not too bad right now so we'll see

We drove over by Palm Springs and found a place that was pretty dark and I have to say we were not disapointed, stayed there until 1:45 am which is way past my bedtime. They were predicting up to 200 per hour but we didn't see anywhere near that many but still saw more than I can ever recall seeing in a single night. Lot of fun.
