I thought I could keep myself from weighing in, but... what the hell is "truths"... You wouldn't know it if it hit you in the face. If you meant 'truce', good luck!
My wife is a "Nortena" born in Taos, lived in Red River, Chama/Tierra Amarilla (TA) and then moved to Santa Rosa... I chose to live in this state because of the people, the land, and the hunting. I live in unit 34 and can be skiing one minute and golfing 45 minutes later. I own an acre in the mountains and a house in town... but enough about me... let's talk about the original post...
I have nothing but respect for bow hunters, but the insanity never ceases to amaze me wwhen people bash something they don't like. I want to bow hunt, someday. When I can afford to invest the time and money, I will. Until then, I am an avid rifle/muzzleloader sportsman and during the off-season, I shed hunt and scout constantly. In fact, this year I have decided to shelve my trusty .25-06 in favor of a 30-30 I got for my 12th Christmas in order to "get back to the basics".
OK, I'm rambling, but alas... NMarcher1, we will accept you for who you are... no matter if you left a rainbow city for a lib-rainbow state... we still love you...
By the way... please take a minute and go to the hunting stories section of MM and look for a title something along the lines of "So there I was...". I wrote that after one lazy rifle muley hunt last year...
Peace and God Bless...
