Thats a cool picture, sort of Norman Rockwellish and it really captures their expressions well, things sure change over time, What more needs to be said about Honest Abe? and T.R. the great conservationist, a populist President, and much of the reason we have our public lands legacy.I liked Ike, wouldn't it be nice if todays republicans learned about him and listened to his commencment speech? Nixon signed the clean air act, banned DDT, nothing at all wrong with Ford, then we have todays Icon, Ronald Reagon, he once said a "tree is a tree, how many do you have to look at"? he said we didn't really need wilderness legislation, because the population had stabilized at about 2oo million and there was no threat to wildlands? Bush 41 tried to be more moderate than Reagon, but the far right had allready been established, and they didn't like that, so his son became the torch bearer for the modern right wing, and here we are. Wouldn't it be nice to see the party go back to where they once were?

Cool painting but it just reminds me how little many of those guys have in common even though they are all "Republicans".

T.R. is without dispute our nation's greatest conservationist president and GB 43 is almost certainly our nation's worst. Party labels mean very little in this day and age...
