Dear 1911 et al family.
In your deepest moments of sorrow, ponder the following. I lost my Father at age 10. Every Christmas when I saw advertisements for new electric shavers, I knew all such "Father" gifts were forever gone.
All of the other kids had fathers and it hurt everyday, all year. Father's Day and then in Summer vacation watching Dad's take their Family on a camping trip, tore more holes inside of me. Fewer friends to play with all Summer.
As I grew and began to be interested in shooting, the gun club would not allow me to join because I had no Father to sponsor me. A man sponsored me and in time I became the sole Champion in all Matches be they NRA Handgun, Rifle or Trap & Skeet....
When I played football I had no father in the stands cheering for me. I actually looked at the Bleachers while praying to God; Please let me see my Father.
Every hard fought Professional accomplishment made into and through adulthood, I spoke to my Dad through God.
I have never HAD what you have enjoyed most of your life; "A Loving Fathers Arms to Hug you".
The old Song: "FATHERS HANDS" tore me up into heavy tears.
1911, I am very Sad you have had such a loss. Yet as Cop to Cop I say; "You Have Been Very Lucky and Blessed".
