There is a pretty interesting article in this week's Sports Illustrated titled "A More Dangerous Game" that takes a pretty interesting look at the decrease of hunting in this country and it's effect on game. Obviously, this seems to be more of a problem in the east where whitetails are running around like jack rabbits but it also gives a good perspective on hunting among the next generation as well as predator-prey balance.
It's good to see a magazine that build its reputation including hunting and outdoor stories in its coverage, go back to it's roots a little bit and also see that a mainstream sports magazine still understands the importance of hunting in todays fast paced society.
If you haven't seen the article, its worth grabbing the latest issue off a newstand and giving it a read.
