I am going out to area 27 this April, Just wondering if anybody has been there over the last few years? I am also wondering about the snow level at that time.

Thanks

John

Hey John,
I will also be out there in april. I haven't been out there yet, but I plan on spending some time over there after the pig hunt next month.

It is a hoot! Usually the snow is not too bad at that time of year and if it is just hunt a little lower. The turkeys are low in that unit as well. They move alot every year it seems so scouting the weekend before you plan to hunt is your best bet but areas that have always held birds for me is Gobbler Point(nice name huh?), anywhere along the 25 road and anywhere along the Black river. Most years I have seen them cross the highway or from Hwy 191 while driving to go fish or get supplies and just hunted from along the pavement there. If there is still too much snow up high check out the Juan Miller/Upper Eagle roads. Good luck, I didn't draw this year.
