LAST EDITED ON Jul-30-15 AT 02:53PM (MST)[p]I was hoping that this was a thread about the crafty deer that i learned on, grew up chasing dawn to dusk for over 2 months every year, the Blacktail.

Welcome to MMuly's.

You can find moose in a lot of different areas in that unit. Try the north or south facing slopes. Don't neglect the ridge tops and the wet creek/river bottoms. The thick timber can also hold moose as well as willow flats and sagebrush slopes. Mornings and evenings you might find them on east and/or west facing slopes. I saw a cow on the white line of Highway 40 last weekend, her head had been completely ripped off in the collision. Good luck on your hunt.
