...last night with a sample hunk of top sirloin from one of the big packs we bought Weds. on sale at Basha's. There was a little over 9 lbs. in all at $3.97 per. The rest went into the freezer.

The test steak ate just dandy, as did the steamed asparagus (on sale for $.98 per), Texas fries, mixed salad & garlic breadstick.

Love top sirloin. I buy the whole cut and butcher for baseball steaks, cap roasts, stew meat etc. best cut for quality and value
I was surprised how tender this one was because it was labeled just 'select.' We use sirloin a lot to make carne asada tacos, steak Veracruzano & such.
