Sometimes when you have two or three trees limb locked together it's best to fall them together to prevent a dangerous situation. This guy took it to the next level. A 2 minute video.

That’s what I was thinking when they tooth picked. Helluva tangled mess.

It's standard procedure but usually only involves 2 or 3 at a time. They were just making a game out of it. It looks like they were falling a right of way for a new road. He left the stumps pretty high. They do that so a Cat can push the stumps out easier. If they were cutting for scale the stumps would be lower.

My very first job in the woods was on the road crew building new logging roads. I was working with the powder monkey. We blew them big old growth redwood stumps out of the ground. That guy was crazy in the head. He always used 3 times as much explosive as he needed. After a couple weeks I asked to be transferred to a logging crew.

When I first watch that line of tree fall I thought it looked a lot like a power line or a pipeline right of way we used to see in the Canadian Forests years ago.
