Unit 40 late mule deer

I got really lucky and drew the unit 40 late mule deer hunt as a NR. Due to unforeseen circumstances I have not been able to got out and scout. I have spent a to of time on google earth and onx so I have a basic idea of where I am going to start but if anyone would be willing to share some pointers that would be great.

Had it a couple years ago. We started on South Mountain, which has some large mining no shooting area that is sort of annoying. Moved closer to Silver City and hunted right out of town. Saw quite a few bucks but overall was highly disappointing compared to its reputation. However we were really unlucky and drew it in the worst November ever. It was like 70-79 degrees during the day, and cold weather helps that unit a lot. We all took bucks the 2nd week we were there, but nothing amazing. Two 3 points and a 4

It's a great tag if you put the time in and hunt hard! Don?t go where all the 2pt and city folks go..... stay away from silver city and parts of South Mountain.... even though last year on the last day of general season 2pt hunt I did see a nice 4 pt right along the road going to silver city.... my suggestion is to keep your gas tank full and drive a lot!
