Unit 40 Late Mule Deer

I Got lucky and drew the unit 40 late season controlled mule deer hunt in SW Idaho. Any pointers on hunting the unit, places to camp and trophy potential? Thanks in advance

Never hunted it, but not because of a lack of trying, unsuccessful 12-15 times.

Couldn't even draw the archery tag there this year.

Rut hunt in a big buck unit. Cover ground, lots of ground, then some more ground.

You will encounter lots of road hunters around silver city. If you don't have OnXMaps you should get it. I drew the tag a couple years ago and learned a lot. Hope to draw it one more time before I die.
