unit 53 elk

Looking for some info on unit 53, I drew a 3rd season buck tag. I have a hunting buddy that wants to come along and hunt. But a deer voucher is way to high, he is looking into buying a over the counter bull tag. I am just trying to get some info if the elk hunting would be worth the money.

I am in the same boat. I have a 3rd season deer tag and was wondering about the elk? I will be hunting around Crawford and would like to bring home some elk steaks. Is it worth getting a tag ?(cow?) I have never hunted 53 and deer will be my top priority. Thanks for any thoughts on this subject.

My son and I will be there during the 3rd season, and we'll be buying elk tags to go along with our deer tags.

I hunted 53 last year for deer and picked up a cow tag. I would recomend having an elk tag-I saw probably 50 and really only focused on them one day to kill a cow. Have a great hunt!
