Has anyone hunted Tamarack lately? My dad hunted it about ten years ago but only a couple days so he doesnt have much info. Just wandering if it is any good anymore for deer hunting. If you have hunted it do the duck hunters get in the way and pressure the deer pretty bad?

Depending on the season, yes duck and small game hunters can keep the deer on the move. If you have small game/waterfowl hunters along the river, try hunting up in the sagebrush.

Tamarack gets pounded even with the reservation system. Deer are still plentiful but you need to be quick with the shot. We hunt a SWA far away from Denver and the few duck hunters that make it out there really rattle them.
