Wait a second! I thought a minute ago I was guilty of supporting him when he was overreacting with all of his closures so early on! But, remember, he know this was a pandemic the whole time and he acted quickly to save lives. His words, not mine!

And for the record, I never made a prediction on death rate. I took the info we had at the time (that we now know to be wrong, but it's what we had which is why Trump overreacted like he did) and applied the math to your assertion that every American would get it.

Trump's death rate and your full infection rate equaled millions dead. Remember the "it's just math" conversation?

Thankfully, the math was wrong... making this a massive overreaction and one that should be quickly corrected. But as I've said repeatedly, I don't blame Trump for it as he only could use the info we had at the time.

At this point, it's our local officials that are hurting us more than Trump. And, where you and I live, they're all Republican. But I know you're honest enough that you still criticize them for it, and I'm grateful for that.

If so, they are making their recommendations based off of junk models (science) that have been wildly inaccurate and you're claiming that Trump has to own those decisions. Liberals blasted Trump for the China travel ban which health experts say was absolutely the right thing to do. Liberals now say that Trump didn't act soon enough and people died but back then health experts were saying this was a nothing burger.

The point is that there is no winning in this situation. Trump's ego won't allow him to stand in front of the camera and accept that fact so he stands in front of the camera and tells everyone that this is the greatest pandemic response in the history of pandemic responses but so what. Yes, he is. And feel free to read my posts above where I said I give him latitude there and don't blame him for making the decisions he made with the info he had at the time. And I agree... it was junk info. My point is if he gets credit for the decisions, he takes the blame too. Every decision has unintended consequences and they cut both ways. Only a partisan dotard would credit him for shutting down the country early and then pretend that he wasn't the one that shut down the country in an overreaction. He did both, they're the exact same action.

Grizz I agree with you that Trump should get the credit for a job well done, and get the blame if he makes a terrible decision.
