Has anyone heard of people being charged for OIL tags yet? (True OIL's not just LE Elk!!! Ha, ha!)

Yes, I have a hit for $408 also. I don't know whether is is my wife's buffalo or my son's mtn. goat, but it looks like one of them will be very happy!

My son got two hits for $408 and were the first I have heard of. Hopefully a Moose and a Buffalo!

the draw order goes like this as per page 16 of the proclomation

1-buck deer premium and limited entry cwmu
2 -bull elk premium limited entry cwmu managemant bull elk
3-buck pronghorn limited and cwmu
4-once and a lifetime
5-youth general buck deer
6-general buck and buck bull combo
7-youth any bull elk
so if you have drawn on any of those after the oil you might be out of luck

I've always felt this is a poor sequence to conduct the draw.

Seems like they ought to draw the OILs first.

How about the guy who is sitting on 14 sheep points, but can't draw cause he just pulled a Vernon buck tag.

Ya know what I mean?

If I had 14 sheep points I would just buy a deer point and try to draw my sheep permit. It does make sense to draw OIL permits first IMO.

I new you could put in for a Once in a life time tag AND a deer elk,antelope tag.I didnt realize you can only draw ONE TAG TOTAL..
IS this TRUE?

Yes, it's true. You CANNOT draw a LE tag and OIL tag in the same year. Unless you get lucky and draw an expo or sportsman tag! Always some loophole, but not many filling it!
