Wasatch-Strawberry Cougar tag

I have a Wasatch Mountains, West Strawberry cougar tag. What do you think would be the best hunting strategy to fill it?

IMO, That is a permit best filled early,
Normally , you have access to most of the unit the first
2-3 weeks of the lion hunt.
Then the FS locks all the gates, closes motorized travel.

Most times cougar hunting, the best chance at a good one,
is covering as much ground as possible to cut a big track.
These closures diminish ones chances of that.

You better have a good houndsmen hired at this point.

^^^^^^ what he said. Without the ability to cover ground makes it tough. Once the snow melts you can get some good running.
