LAST EDITED ON Mar-14-09 AT 02:27AM (MST)[p]I just saw what was posted. Comical!!!
muleyhunterfromhell asked what "Founder" has donated.
What have I done for Mule Deer? Well, I volunteered with MDF for a few year years and then for SFW for a few. Also served as an SFW board member for a couple years or 3 or so.
I do not donate to every chapter that emails me asking, in fact I donate to none of them. I have donated a few items to the local chapter in the past, but not recently. Although I really couldn't afford to donate much other than my time (very little of that these days), I would donate a little product to the local chapters if asked. I get LOTS of emails every year asking me to donate stuff from chapters of MANY, MANY, groups.....do you realize how many chapters of all the different groups there are????
I can best help using this site, simply because I have little money and little time, but have the ability to reach many thousands of hunters.
I did help the YOUR Rock Springs chapter this year. The evidence is in the Wyoming Forum. I allowed you to promote your banquet for free, that is what I CAN and WILL do for any worthy conservation group chapter. So, feel free to post (ONCE) in the appropriate state forum if any of you have a banquet you would like to let people know about.
This isn't GOOGLE or YAHOO, MM.com hasn't gone public yet and raised 100 billion dollars, so I'm still just a working dude trying to stay afloat. Although it would be wonderful to ship every chapter of MDF, RMEF, SFW and all the others a half dozen videos, it's absolutely impossible.
As for the high fence hunt that
muleyhunterfromhell commented about, I don't think they should be auctioned at banquets. That's my opinion.
As for the guys that run the Rock Springs chapter, they should be proud of themselves for what they do. Obviously I can't say that I think to highly of Joey for what he has tried to do to my family and life, but for the rest of the guys who put together what I'm sure was a SUPER banquet....good for you. In the future, maybe reconsider the high fence hunt.....but be proud either way.
As for me shooting a deer out from under someone else....well, like I said then, it's a bummer they missed, but I wasn't going to let the buck get away. They shot all their bullets and then it was my turn.
If someone else on the mountain, other than David, really thought they hit the buck, they would have walked down there and they could have went through it all with David and I. I went through all this months ago. Although I feel bad for the guys who missed, they and I know the truth, and the truth is what I posted in the following thread.

You can say or think what you want about that deal, I know how it played out and I WOULDN'T DO A THING DIFFERENT. So, love me, hate me.....regard me as you wish, I'll deal with it.
PS - Just saw the mount today too, and it looks good!! I left the velvet hanging off the antlers and it is cool.
