What settings for a waterfall picture?

I would hope for an overcast day so the white of the water does not overexpose when the sun shines on it. Use a cloudy white balance if cloudy. Use a polarizing filter to help rid any glare especially from wet rocks. For the soft water look, use your lowest ISO setting. A neutral density filter, and a smaller aperture. Look at your histogram to see that you did not blow out the water. If you want to freeze the water's action, use a higher ISO, larger aperture, and no ND filter.
