Was wondering what zone is Gila Bend in and how hard is it to draw for a non resident?

39/40A&B. I have no clue how hard it is for a NR to draw a rifle hunt either.
Just curious but why Gila Bend? There are military/border issues in the 40's and some tough hunting in 39 with the exception of the ag areas and then you are into private property access problems.
Having said that there are some big desert muleys in the river bottom and scattered throughout the unit.

Very easy to draw with 1 or 2 points. There is a later in the year muzzleloader hunt as well that would be good to have but much tougher to draw.

A buddy moved down there to manage a farm and got the ok to hunt it.

Yes really, but I doubt you know him.only been down there about 1 yr now. Don't know the ranch or ranchers name's.
