Wyoming black hills

Wondering if anyone on here has hunted Turkeys in the Wyoming black hills on public land? How bad is the pressure and how is the access? Thanks for any info

I’m supposed to say bird/herd numbers are way down.Every thing is locked up and way to many people.Dang N/R are ruining it for everyone.Bla bla bla.
But truthfully,
I have hunted them many times over there.
Plenty of birds. Plenty of public land also.

We have went a couple times with Barrie’s success. Sometimes we see several other hunters other times none. I have had a hard time getting away from pressured birds and finding birds on public. We always end up there… On the flip side if you want to hunt birds around the Grizzlies it makes for an interesting hunt… we used to hunt around Cody and have luck but they moved the season dates back and now the hunting starts about the time the Grizzly are getting active…
