    Utah Archery Monsters

Not saying it's true or not, but rumor around Cache Valley is that the hunter that took the second buck may be taking a little heat over how the buck was taken. I hope it isn't true.

My brother has the San Juan Early Rifle tag, and I was just wondering if anyone has heard of any San Juan Archery bulls getting harvested yet.

Hunting BLM Property included in CWMUs

LAST EDITED ON Aug-15-18 AT 02:24PM (MST)[p]I guess 4(b)(ii) and (iii) could help explain it, but I think this might be a situation where this would be a stretch. I measured it out and this is a 6,300 acre section of BLM land, and it's not checker boarded, it's a big continuous section. The...

Hunting BLM Property included in CWMUs

So, I was looking at my OnX maps, and it appears as though a large chunk of BLM land that my family has hunted for years is now included in a CWMU. Maybe it has always been this way, and I have never known, but that is besides the point. The question I have for all of you is, can I hunt the...

No, it was quite a while ago, but I did see one up Cottonwood two years ago.

    Mt. Naomi (UT) Mountain Goats

Another thing that you might find interesting was the mountain goats in the Cache were discussed in a RAC meeting: We recommend an expansion of the management plan for Willard Peak to include adjacent ranges where mountain goats have naturally dispersed. The expansion area includes the Ogden...

    Mt. Naomi (UT) Mountain Goats

They're there. I've seen one up at the top of cottonwood. My buddy has video of one that he saw up Cherry Creek Peak. I never would have believed it if I hadn't seen it. I hope they take hold up there. It really is good habitat for them.

    How rare is a 170 + buck

RE: How rare is a 170 buck LAST EDITED ON Aug-10-16 AT 09:33AM (MST)[p]He ended up scoring just south of 170(gross). I had a lot of people guess that it would score between 180-190. Had a few that thought it would push 200". I guess the point I'm trying to make is that a 170" buck is a lot...

    How rare is a 170 + buck

RE: How rare is a 170 buck I agree that some people can highly overestimate what a deer scores. Here is a buck I shot on the Northern Utah General Season Unit. Any guesses on what he scores? I have already taped him, I just wanted to see how closely you guys can guess. Hint: he is 29.5" wide.

    Sportman's Moose Tag Utah

I will be spending a lot of time on the cache unit this year. There are some Giants up there I have personally been part of harvesting 6 bull moose up there, 2 over 50". I would be happy to keep you in the loop on what we're seeing up that way. Shoot me a pm and we can switch contact information.

    North Cache help

I found a small bachelor herd of bulls up there with the biggest being a non typical 7 point. Would probably not break 300. I would be more than happy to tell you where these were.

    Utah Moose?

LAST EDITED ON Oct-11-11 AT 11:59AM (MST)[p]So, If I wanted to I could go to a fundraising dinner, purchase a limited entery moose tag, and harvest another moose in Utah?

    Utah Moose?

OK, so I have a question. I am a Utah resident that has already drawn a moose tag. Since moose is considered a "once-in-a-lifetime" tag, I have not been puting in for the sportsmans moose tag, or any of the moose tags at the EXPO. However, I have recently been told that I could still possibly...

    Cache Moose- best hunt dates?

I have helped several people shoot moose up on the Cache unit over the years and had the tag myself. If I had one week to hunt I would probably hunt the first week of the second part of the hunt. The first part of the hunt, the leaves are still on the trees and it is hot, so the bulls don't...

    Cache Moose Hunt

LAST EDITED ON Mar-28-10 AT 12:50PM (MST)[p]My advice is don't spend too much time scouting up there. I scouted from mid July until the hunt opened, and I can tell you that it was wasted time. Sure it was fun to be up in the mountains and I did see a few moose, but after the rut started and...

    Cache Moose Hunt

I had the tag last year, and saw lots of bulls. I would be more than happy to let you know what I saw. I did pass on several 40 inch bulls, in hopes of the big 50" bulls. I shot a last day bull that was just under 40". I can tell you that there are a few bulls over 50" on that unit still, but...
