Overall, we have been hearing good reports this year out of the eastern units, both Coues & Muleys. Previous years... not so much. We had great rain this year and it really shows in antler growth. I hope we are on a roll. Numbers are still not great and may never be what they were.

We hunt the 6 unit hunt that includes 29, 28, 30A, 30B, 31, & 32. It gives you a lot of options. I have friends that hunt 29 with success, whereas we like 28 & 31.

Thanks! I am going to try to hold out. I have 6 days to hunt it and then I have to be back to the store for Black Friday. Yuck! But in 6 days I should see some good ones. I have been doing a lot of homework for this hunt. I have never drawn this tag before.

Toby has had a great fall. Thanksgiving day he harvested his first deer on a New Mexico youth hunt. earlier this fall he shot his javelina with his bow, and a turkey with his shotgun in Arizona. Toby turned ten this past August.

Take a look at your draw cycle and see where the rest is coming up. It should come up in the last 2" or so of your draw. If its coming up sooner then you need to lengthen the cord. Remember though, it needs to stay up for a short distance in order to stablize the arrow. Hope that helps.
