Anyone Hunt Heppner For Late Deer Or Elk ?

Shortly someone will chime in and stupidly say "well if you know how to hunt, you can still find bucks" Oregon Deer populations are abysmal and ODFW wont do anything about it if no one holds their feet to the fire. 15-20 years ago they started the Mule Deer Initiative to address the...

    Plan B for Bighorn Ram

LAST EDITED ON Sep-26-18 AT 12:55PM (MST)[p]I'm not sure where your tag runs but there is a put in a 30-mile that cuts that float in half. Rattray ranch was letting people put in for a fee. They were looking at selling to a land conservancy and I don't know where that ended up. Haven't been...

    Plan B for Bighorn Ram

Pay a rancher for access. Once in a lifetime tag. Is worth it. If you do want to try and float pay for access to put in lower. You might have to walk it through riffles but it might be doable for a short distance

I'm traveling from Oregon to Canada next weekend for a moose hunt. Planning on Crossing at Sumas. Tempted to go over Snoqualmie Pass and cut North and hit I-5 just north of Seattle. Last time I was through that way Snoqualmie was bad for road construction. Any feedback on how it would be now? Or...

    Oregon hunting info

And that's why we can't get fish and game to improve deer hunting in Oregon. As long as we insist that with hard hunting and great skill we can still find a good buck we are letting fish n game off the hook. Yes, good hard hunting can still kick up a decent buck but anyone that spends quality...
