Gotta agree with all the above. It was tough for us up in Northern Utah for both elk and deer. Saw only 1 elk and it was a 360 bull (spike-only general unit... and I had a cow tag!). Figured he had to have some cows with him, but no such luck. Too damn many elk hunters for my liking... more...

Sorry for your loss Joe, but I can relate. I was in a similar circumstance when I had to say goodbye and let dad go in 2010. It all happened over about a week's time frame... not two months. That would be rough. Not a greater man... nor a better friend...
