Well I finally arrived, got closed on the house, unloaded the Uhaul and am waiting on Lowes for carpet (3 weeks). Wanted to head out somewhere in the woods to go find some elk but the wife really wanted to go fishing so we ended up at Silver Lake. Crowded, yes, people throwing there trash everywhere, yes, but a good time none the less. 3 of us went and left with 10 fish. So next Saturday will be time to head to the woods. Anyone have any suggestions on a general area to start in? I will be going in solo and de-scented so as to not interfere with anyone hunting, wouldn't dare want to interrupt someones hunt, But I really want to hear some bugles and get to know the land.
