Which States Still Mail Checks

Random question but do any states still issue refund checks vs refunding your card?

I don't apply in WA or CA so can't say what they do. But among the other western states, only 3 require up-front payment....WY, NM, & ID. And all three refund to cards. WY & NM are both super fast on the refund, and ID is very slow.
