I sold the 3/301 property but I have openings for 4th season on a ranch that's in 22. PLO tags cover 11/211/22/23. It's 2800 acres of private between Meeker and Rifle and 6,000 acres of landlocked BLM. Would be good for elk and deer.

I can't hike much due to knee issues so we scouted strategic places where we didn't have to hike far and I had five friends to pack out for me. Get a good tag and then you'll find a way to make it work. "Obstacles are what you see when you take your eye off the goal."

Mass trumps everything else. Scores usually don't fully represent the mass. A heavy 161" is a great buck!

I hunted it 3rd season last year and saw 60+ bucks. Only 2-3 were 3 1/2 years old and no mature bucks. I heard 100+ shots go off opening morning and lots of two points hanging in the Maybell park camping area.

I went shed hunting Saturday in CO on private land and saw 30 bulls with antlers still. Only a few had dropped. That surprised me. But all the deer had dropped.

I tried buying more Gunwerks 7mm Rem 168 grain Berger bullets but they said they now only sell ammo to people that bought one of their rifles. Does anyone know of any alternatives for purchasing that load?
