My hunting buddy couldn't get a clear shot on a 360 at 45 yards last night after making one of best stalks ive ever seen, amazing. We watched this bull breed several cows.

I've been traveling a lot chasing Quail, Ducks, and Geese I can tell you the rut is in full swing now. Watched a Whopper cross the Rio twice on a hot doe Thursday. Some big boys running around this year, and I don't have a tag either!!!! Good Luck to those that do.

Is it possible it's a high fence bull??? I've now heard three different ranches, details seem to be very distorted.

After 5 years of drought it's doubtful you'll find many places with significant "numbers"! I've found in 21, if you find deer scouting in August they'll stay in that canyon at least until mid November.

You'll be very disappointed in Springtime as well. I'm not sure where the deer are this year I've spent a lot of time in 17 this year and have yet to see a good buck...deer in general are few and far between.

Drew this unit for Elk and after scouting the last 3 weekends I'm strongly considering not going hunting. Most cattle lease holders in this unit have sold off they're stock, then turned "off" 90% of stock tanks which IMO is BS. Maybe someone can explain this reasoning to me. As for your hunt ...

I also drew this unit, scouted this passed weekend and things did not look good. Antler growth is horrible, watched ten cows hit a tank late one afternoon from 800yrd away i could count each rib on everyone of them, very sad. Skeet, are you a NR?

Ryan's opening day bull,we've been on this bull for about a month, we knew him better then he knew himself.Shot him at 10 yard's over water.He's son Tristan passed on eight different bull's and came home without.High standards for a thirteen year old...

Can't believe in this day and age of technology he only has a 35mm camera, but i'll scan it and post. I don't like to talk about unit's,IMHO this is THE Big Bull unit.So anyhow, the bulls have been screaming for the last two weeks,some day's better then other's.Oh yeah,this is very much public land.

Helped a friend pack one out last night,the Bull rough scored 382 but should net out around 375ish,perfect 7X7 shot him at 10 yards at a waterhole, his son passed on four young bulls before Mr Big came in. Still have a 345ish hitting the tank, im hopeful his son closes the deal on him.
