I would vote for leica. I have found they range better in flat country than any other I have tried

I preach this a lot around here but I will tell anyone who will listen to have a look at kowa spotters. Especially the tsn 88mm. Also Doug is great to deal with

Kowa is not marketed to hunters as much as birders. If you do a little searching you can find a lot of info about them. There have been a lot of reviews in the last couple years that compare the tsn 88 mm to the other high end spotters

If it was my money I would find a kowa. If you're set on vortex I would reccomend the razor. I'm not a fan of the viper series in binoculars and spotters.
