    Easton FMJ

I'm assuming you used the tool, and the epoxy that came with the shafts. After the insert is installed it takes a while for the epoxy to set, so you should leave the shafts horizontal for 24 hours or the inserts could slide down the shaft some before the epoxy drys.

    Best Flying Fixed blade?

    Gettin back into it/Help

Welcome back! I was in the same boat, leaving the archery world for six years and hunting with a muzzleloader. I just started again this year I bought a whole new setup from bow arrows rest quiver the whole nine yards. I feel like bowhunting is so tough any advantage you can gain will help you...

    Broadheads for javelina

Try slick tricks. For me they shoot identical to field tips out to 80 yards, and will kill anything in North America with a well placed shot. I have been on 6 archery killed pigs they are easy to kill, even when wounded usually won't run to far making follow up shots easy. Best of luck on your hunt!

    Bow,

One thing to consider when buying is what type of hunting you plan on doing tree stand ground blind spot and stalk. I do mostly spot and stalk so I look at three things for my bows. Brace height I like a 7-7.5" brace height axle to axle length I usually stay between 32"-35" and last speed I look...

    250s or 290s?

Sometimes less is more, in this case less powder might be more accurate. One of my favorite elk loads is a 350 grain FPB pushed by 95 grains of BH 209. I would start at 90 grains with the 290 and see what they do.

    Kiabab roads?

Going to start scouting for my archery hunt this week, with all the rain we have received lately was wondering how the roads are when they get wet? Will tire chains help if I get stuck in one of these thunderstorms? Thanks for any advice.

    250s or 290s?

110 grains of BH 209 federal 209A primers and 290 TEZ put the hammer on my Wyoming bull at 198 yards. But if recoil becomes a issue with flinching the 100 grains of 209 and a 250 TEZ will do just fine out to 200 yards. Shot placement is key on a big ol bull! Good luck and share some pics.

    Pahvant Muzzy Deer

Had this same tag last year, tough hunt for sure. Hunted the whole season and the best buck I could find was a 150 class 4X4. But there is great bucks on the unit, scouted over the summer and located several 170 type bucks. But couldn't locate them once they shed there velvet. If nothing else...

    New Release

I do use mine for hunting, but the back tension is all I've ever used. I have some friends switch and they do take a while to get used to, but for accuracy I believe this is the best way to go. Most archery shops will let you try there releases to see if you like them before you buy. One nice...

    Tuning question

Here is a update for those who are interested after trying lots of different things to get this bow to shoot, found the bow did not agree with the rest I had. 2015 Bowtech Carbon Icon Bow

I have a bowtech prodigy now the bow shoots great, the power shift will give you good options with your shoulder issues. With a 60 pound bow set on the #3 setting you should have little issues with this bow. The only issue I had with my prodigy was with the rest I could not get it to tune with a...

    Broadheads for turkeys

O.K. So I have a turkey tag this spring for Utah. My question is which broadhead do you use? Shot two turkeys both with fixed heads and recovery was tough to say the least. Looking at getting the NAP gobbler getter to try this year. My equipment will be a bowtech prodigy, 350 carbon express...

    Thor Bullets

Don't bother with thors. If you need a full bore conical get the Hornaday 300 grain for deer 350 grain for elk. Much easier to get and the accuracy will be there.

I looked at several of Bowtechs new bows along with some Mathews and Hoyt's ended, up pulling the trigger on the Prodegy. So far so good the bow shoots well, accurate no hand shock and balanced well. Been shooting broad heads out to 50 yards and they group good. Heading to arizona the end of...

    Why is LR good?

What founder said makes a lot of sense, we need a way to limit our selves. Is long range unethical? No, if the proper practice and knowledge of long range shooting is applied. Is there people shooting long rang that should not be? Absolutely. But is ther people packing bows, muzzleloaders, and...
