The owl flew into my uncles windshield a long, long time ago. Took it to DFW for a special permit, and had it mounted. It was in my parents house forever, and recently moved it into mine.

He's on the wall now....

That was killed in the same area as my son's buck. A LOT of deer in that burn. Crazy that buck came back up the hill from California, where supposedly he had been seen heading a few weeks earlier. Well done young man.

For those that have asked offline, didn't get him scored yet, have no idea. The tape says 27 inches wide. This was buck number 50 that we saw in 5 days. Not counting the ones we saw multiple times. This was definitely the highest scoring animal. JB148 and I were squirming several times on...

What can a person expect for shrinkage during the mandatory drying period......and then twice that? Buddy killed a very nice NV antelope this year that we and the taxidermist taped at 83 inches. Then, for reasons yet to be explained, the taxi didn't return a call or email for weeks and weeks...

I personally would stay away from the North Coast and focus on the South Coast again. The fall salmon fishing has been consistently better on the South Coast, Rogue/Elk/Sixes/Umpqua, than the north coast. The best shot at a 50lb chinook in the lower 48 is probably the Rogue. Bay fishing gets...
