I would hunt in the Mahogany and rock creek drainages I think if you spend some time scouting the area you still have a good chance at a very nice bull. I hunted that area extensively in the mid 90's and have harvested some really nice animals.I know the wolves have had an impact on the elk...

If you are planning on archery hunting most of the state is otc,there are a few exceptions.you have to pick a Zone.most of the zones have rifle opportunity also spike,cow,etc.. check the regs.no points for draw hunts, nonres quota is 10% of available tags.
