I am thinking of taking the kids to the Mormon Mountains for a close deer hunt. Any info on the Mormon Mountains would be appreciated. I will only burn the tag on a great buck and I saw one that came from this zone last year. Any idea when the rut is in this range.....I would assume it has started.....Thanks in advance.

If it is a PIW tag it good for any open unit in the state, not only 271-272 but anywhere you want to go. I am not aquanited with the Mormon Mtns, but I have heard some very good bucks come out of there. I just looked at hunt dates, and see that there is a muzz season in December near pioche 195-196 Looks like you still got some hunting to do......GOOD LUCK, Score on a big one
