My 9 year old daughter (will be 10 in September) drew unit 45 deer tag. We need help knowing where to take her. She is not too athletic, so a shot with from or across a road will be best. Sorry if she drew your dream tag, but we welcome you to ride along with us on her first hunt ever. She is not much of an outdoor person, so we will probably only able to hunt one Saturday, mom says she can't miss school! We might go the Sat before the 'official' opener, deer might be less spooked? Hopefully we can get her in a hunter safety class this summer, if not, oh well, we'll have her hunt without it. I might let her hunt with the marlin .22 since she isn't really able to shoot the 22-250 all that well. Anyone know of a good .22 bullet? I hope she can get a buck, or two! Anyone know a good meat packed? Cheap is most important, since we will likely feed it to the dogs anyway.

Yours truly in sarcasm,
UGA

Loved it. You forgot to add that cell phone coverage and Wi-Fi was important, so she could tell her friends and put it on social media!

Please teach your daughter that it is illegal to shot over roadways and from the road, the only exception is a handicap permit.

Here you go, super hard to find. Any other rules you need clarified?
Found in "Big Game Rules" General Wildlife Laws

It is Unlawful To:
? Hunt or take any wildlife without a valid hunting license,
or without required tag or permit in possession.
? Party hunt or help fill another person?s tag.
? Shoot from or across the traveled portion, shoulders or
embankments of any road maintained by any government
entity.

If they are a marked trail, they can claim it to be maintained.

I am not familiar with all the ins and outs of whats needed for those that are unfortunately disabled. But I knew that I had read it in the regs before. this is what I had found.

Disabled Archery Permit
Disabled hunt from motor vehicle permit

As to why you have to have it? I guess so that they can validate someone really is? Would never wish that on anyone.

You do know he posted this thread as a joke?

Thanks Brymoore, I couldn't bring myself to tell him! But since this whole fiasco is almost completely unbelievable...who is to say what is a joke or not?
