8, 9, 10

Can't speak for 9 or 10, but I do spend a lot of time in 8 every year. The wife and I camp in the forest every year, even if we don't draw tags. Whitetails are few and far between and concentrated mostly in the rough canyons, making them difficult to hunt. Not high success rates, but that does allow them to get a little older and some quality bucks are killed each year.

The mule deer in Unit 8 are scattered all over where there is heavy brush and forest, but I really have only seen three or four really good bucks. When there are 500-600 tags, the majority of hunters are on the roads in trucks and ATV's just looking for meat. The success to get a tag runs about 30%, and then the success rate on harvest is only 30% also. Buck to doe ratios are low at around 20:100. Would not be my choice for a good tag.
