Antelope Sheathes

What would you recommend to use to treat the outer side of the Antelope sheathes to help preserve them and what would you use to keep them black or to color them black?? Any help would be appreciated...Thanks

There not black, they are more of a brown color. I like to use a little bit of olive oil. brings out the natural color of them.

The best thing I have used is a 50/50 mix of linseed oil and turpentine.

Euro....Thanks....I really wasn't looking for a debate on colors...just some help....I couldn't find Antelope Sheath color a Sherwin Williams or at my local Home Depot....and I'm definately not a taxidermist
