I am wondering if any of you have any insight into a few units to hunt speed goats in Colorado. I am looking into 4 archery, 13 archery, or 120, 121, 125, 126 rifle, 116, 117, 122, 127 rifle. I understand the private issues on the eastern plains. I am hoping to draw without points. Or are there others I am over-lookng? Just curious as to which might give the best opportunity for a decent buck and fun hunt? Thanks for the help.

Dought you will get much help.
We have a place in 120 & 121 that we could hunt, but it has dried up this year. We were told this year that we could hunt does only no real reason why but rumor is someone offered $500 for any buck. These places are hard to find anymore without outside influence. If you find one keep it a secret.

The big game access program has ranches that sign up with the DOW to open their property for hunting. You must purchase a access permit for $40. Last years ranches ranged from 3000 to 20,000 acres. I believe some of the ranches were in 122,125, and 126. You might draw with 0 points, 1 point will get you a tag for most units. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. You are correct, those eastern plains units are included in that program. However, I am not sure how good of a hunt it is and if it is worth the drive.
