There is alot of land down south near the Nevada border, safe to say that it is pretty much sage, bunchgrass and rocks. Probably your best move, even without seeing the land is to try to get some water rights for a well. Water is the key down there. If you have water you have potential. The property is probably quite remote,if it's right on the border, its a good 120+ miles from Burns. There would be some small towns closer but they are tiny, Denio, Fields, maybe McDermitt depending on where its at along the border. It could be 30-50 miles from those tiny towns too.
For animals, it really depends on your terrain, you could have rimrocks which would be great for chukar, maybe some hills and draws which could maybe have some deer, it could just be a huge piece of flat sage which would maybe have antelope from time to time, but it could also (hopefully not for your sake) be a big alkali flat which is not good for anything.
