Henrys Bison

Anyone been to the Henries hunting bison? Success? Seeing any? Any info provided would be greatly appreciated.

I'd be curious as well. Have a lot of points and the debate is always Book Cliffs versus Henry's.

Hoss, do you have a tag this year or just curious for future years?

My Dad had the tag on the Henries in 2016. TOUGH hunt, at least for us. We harvested a great bull, but I heard success on that hunt was lower and had been declining.

Fast forward to this year in the Book Cliffs, we were chasing bears, but the Bison were lousy, and I Mean LOUSY. We saw so many bison, I would almost rather have the Henries tag for the challenge.

I spent a lot of time down there last year on the hunt you have a tag for this year. If I were you, I wouldn't screw around wasting any time up on the mountains. Get in to swap Mesa and hunt there. It's a sucky hike and a long way to get into it, but that's where they go when they start feeling pressure, and they've had a lot of pressure this year.
