Have numerous friends who are Range Conservationists and State level Range Con Supervisors, and they do not have a good attitude towards wild horses or their management but in many cases their hands are tied by paperwork and law. They would remove and limit their areas if possible.
Refer to the following and any related cases and you will see what the problem really is, and there is little to do about it.

Back when you could make Dog Food out of them the Local Cowboys were Thinnin a Few of them Out but not now!

they closed down the one in front of alco in Roosevelt, god only knows what meat they were using..(when you buy a taco on the side of the road you get what you get) horse would be some of the good stuff...??
