Wiszard! There is a 5 year waiting period for antelope. No, you can't start building until the 5 years is up but I believe you can apply for the horns shorter than ears hunt if you are interested.

We still don't know what to put in for. Any suggestions?

ANTELOPE: waiting period, shot an 81 7/8 buck in unit 77

CALIFORNIA BIGHORN: 5 pts.

I will also be putting in for the other bighorn tags this year. Might as well...it's only an extra few bucks.

Actually she'll probably draw everything in NV, moose in UT, ID, MT, elk in UT, sheep in ORE, and just earn points in CO. To go along with WY deer. I'm scared now.

I drew my antelope tag with 4 points and did not realize there was a five year waiting period. I had a good hunt but looking back on it, I should've held out for a bigger buck....stretched the hunt a little more for enjoyment purposes. I guess this is a learning experience....one I wish hadn't happened. Oh well...we gotta give all the other hunters a shot, right?

The good thing is that I've got 7 deer points so I'm looking at burning those points next year.

Steve, I feel the same as you, I didn't do justice with the tag.

I scouted 4 days and pulled the trigger first day. BUT I was leaving in 10 days to go goose huntin in Canada, Archery elk 5 days later and then antelope in WY. Damn goose hunt made my fall too busy. Think I learned from it.
