Idaho unit 45 elk

Just moved to Idaho and got extremely lucky and drew 45 elk. Not familiar with the area at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Pretty much. If you spend a little time getting to know the area, the public/private boundaries and how to get around you should have no issues. I had the archery tag in 2018 and it was a great hunt.

Only hunt I have ever passed on any bull, and think I passed on 5 or 6 in bow range before I let an arrow fly.
