I'm a college student and resident of Idaho that is brand new to applying to other states. Cost is a part of the equation but I'm interested in building Mule Deer points in Colorado.
From the quick research I've done it looks like it'd run me $10 for the habitat stamp and another $25 per species to apply. Is this correct? If so, that's not bad at all.
Also, what units/hunts should I research? I don't want to have to wait 20 years to hunt there. How many points are you looking at generally to get a decent tag for a 170" buck or better? I know that's a very broad question but just get me in the ball park. 5 points? 10 points? 15? Thanks in advance for any helpful advice!
