After all the sugar and carbs this morning, we agreed that beef and veggies was plenty for tonight. Got some skinny old ribeyes out of the freezer, along with corn off the cob, cauliflower, and sugar snap peas from the garden. Good enough to eat!! I cheated and had to whip up a little cheddar sauce for my cauliflower!!

Yeah, I know. I feed enough of it in Texas to know it's deer crack. Basically, it's sugar!!

but it is technically a vegetable. :)

And one of my favs, both on & off the cob. Thing is it doesn't change much when it comes out from what it was when it went in. So that has to make one wonder just how much of the starch/sugar is absorbed.

The standing joke here is to fish in the river below the sewage plant, during banquet season for all the conservation conventions. The fish are full of corn the next day, and taste like prime rib!!!
