Sheep Horn Attachment

Do any of you have any experience with resecuring sheep horn sheaths back to the skull after boiling? I am about to reattach the sheaths and am thinking that simple epoxy will do the trick just fine but wanted some tips from those of you that have experience with ram skulls. Thanks.

yep bondo or Gorilla glue

+3 for Bondo. Takes up the space left from removing tissue, and allows you to center them properly.

How about an Electric Glue Gun, worked for me on my Antelope Euro mount.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-03-09 AT 09:05AM (MST)[p]One of the best adhesives is a simple tube of clear silicon. They even use it to glue down bath vanity and kitchen counter tops. No mixing required and plenty of time to reposition before it dries.

I even use small dabs of it to glue teeth back into the jawbones after cooking a skull.
