Strawberry Ridge CWMU

Does anybody have any thoughts on Strawberry Ridge CWMU for Elk or Moose? Any help would be great.

I talked with the operator and he said the moose are nothing to use a lot of points on. He said if you had a couple then burn them. Their moose hunt is rated a 1 out of 5.

I had a client who drew the moose tag 2 or 3 years ago. He spent over 10 days hunting and shot the first bull he saw, a 30 inch 2 year old. Maybe worth the gamble if you have less than 5 points, but don't expect much.

Moose is Once In a Lifetime, I would be careful on selecting a unit. Strawberry Ridge is not a very good Moose CWMU.

had a cow tag there two years ago didnt see one moose the whole time there. Only seen 4 elk spike and a two point 2 cows most of the unit is good for pronghorn didnt even see any nice bucks. You would think it would hold some nice animals i was shocked. Wont put in for that unit again.
