Some French Toast with Huckleberry Jam and Whipped Cream.
Yes I did DeerHunter53. We make the jam and usually don't make pie anymore. I go through the jam fast enough. We use the reduced sugar Sure Jell and the jam has the perfect sweet and tart flavor to it. It is perfect on breakfast products and unreal topped on Vanilla Ice Cream.DM did you pick the Huckleberries I love those things especially in Jam form
I can't imagine anything being better than Huckleberries LOLYes I did DeerHunter53. We make the jam and usually don't make pie anymore. I go through the jam fast enough. We made some Strawberry freezer jam this summer with very good strawberries and it might be even better than Huckleberry.
Until you get strawberries that are top of the line. I was that way too. But this jam is incomparable.I can't imagine anything being better than Huckleberries LOL
A little Chicken manure is the way to go ..That and great soil.I really like strawberrys. Even raised them once, but they weren't very good. I told the guy in the gardening department that they didn't have the flavor they should. He suggested putting fertilizer on them. So I tried it, but the berries tasted terrible. I went back to using sugar.
There's a place called the Bison Inn near the Moise Bison Range in Ravalli, MT. I started taking photos at the Range & eating at the restaurant in the early 1980s. They specialize in bison burgers & huckleberry shakes & pies. I never tried the shakes but often had a slice of pie with vanilla ice cream.I can't imagine anything being better than Huckleberries LOL
Hmmm, did my little fertilizer 'tale' perhaps get lost while flying overhead??A little Chicken manure is the way to go ..That and great soil.
Nope, I thought that dry fertilizer might do something such as quick growth and less flavor. I saw it could be otherwise...??There's a place called the Bison Inn near the Moise Bison Range in Ravalli, MT. I started taking photos at the Range & eating at the restaurant in the early 1980s. Ravalli is nothing more than a wide spot on 93 north of Missoula.Never been to Ravalli. I have to look it up now. Im close to parts of Montana. I've never been to Flathead, Glacier etc. I suppose I will die or not be able to afford Biden gas by then. ?
