Hey all! I am a first generation hunter and was successful last year hunting in Malad for Muleys because of some great friends willing to show me the ropes. I am wondering if there are some tips on general areas within 63 that I could go scout around. I have no real idea what I am doing, but I am ecstatic about drawing a tag this year and am hoping to have some fun, and be safe. As far as I know, I need a permit for the INL from IDFG to hunt certain areas of the unit. Any advice and help you could offer will be greatly appreciated!

1). Pray for early snow.
2). Get written permission from landowners, to eliminate any trespass problems.
3). Learn where they cross the highway to the safe zones, on the north sides.

You might enjoy looking for some mule deer hunting books. If your local book store doesn't have any, Amazon will.

Lots of fun read and learn when you can't be out scouting.
