Utah LE Draw Question

Are we now able to put in for LE elk and LE deer hunts in the same year? I am under the understanding that you can't put in for to LE big game species at the same time unless one of them is a once in a life time hunt. I read in a recent post that a non-resident said last year was the first year he was able to put in for elk and deer. Or is this available only for non-residents? Non-res can put in for all if they want. Residents have to choose.

Yep, and as a nonresident, I will trade you!

Allowing us to apply for multiple species does two things:

1) Utah gets more money without issuing any additional tags

2) It lowers the odds that we will draw a tag.

That is why they only did it for nonresidents.

I agree with you Dave. It has made it much more difficult for us non-res. to draw a tag. IMO it was a bad move to allow us to put in for all.
