New to Hunting WY - looking for Antelope in SE part of state

Hey all, I will apologize in advance for my noobie questions, but I'm a Coloradoian(yea, I know you guys call us green-plates) and I want to take my boys (9 and 10) on a WY antelope hunt next fall. You guys seem to have a much better opportunity for goats than we do here. The boys won't...

    Archery Elk....Any Luck?

I just got back from spending 4 days up in the FlatTops with 2 buddies. We saw no elk in the natl forest and hiked about 20 miles in that time. We did see a herd of 30 with one nice 5x5 on some private ground. It was disappointing to say the least. No bugles, no cow talk. We even hit my...

    Antelope sausage hunt in 120

Hey all, I pulled a late doe goat tag in december in unit 120, 121, 125 and 126 as a second choice. I want to take my 8 and 10 year old boys on their first big game hunt. I've never hunted down there and was wondering if anyone had a pointer or 2 for me on places to start. It looks like...

    Unit 14 archery elk

I've hunted up there a few years. Did a pack trip into the wilderness as well. I had 2 buddies punch their tag after a long week with their bows. You will be into the elk...question is whether you can get close enough to stick one. Lots of country and you can get away from the crowds if you...

    Archery Antelope

I don't mean to be a smart arse, but doesn't the regs tell you which units are non-draw? Or, was your question about which units are good to hunt?

    Blue Gravel RFW

COBUK - Wow..she dumped some points for that tag! I haven't hunted goats there, but I did a deer hunt there a couple of years ago and it was great. There are plenty of goats running around up there - I could have shot 2 nice bucks right off the back porch of their lodge. It should be a...

    Refund question

I don't know..guess you could call them to find out. I would certainly hope that the state would do that for our reservists. If not, I suggest we take up a collection for him here and pay for his tag so he can keep his points. Let us know what the verdict is and if we need to help a serviceman.

Colorado Outdoor Sports - Hunting club

Hi - I'm looking to see if anyone is either a current member or past member of this organization and the goods/bads of it. http://www.coloradooutdoorsports.com/ I don't want to start a big debate, just looking for an honest assessment of whether it's worth the price to join/annual fee and the...

    Tips on a muzzy kit

Hey guys, I'm looking to build a traditional muzzleloader kit this winter. Anyone built one and have any suggestions on make/model and wehre to get it. I want to use it to hunt elk and deer so I'm thinking 50 or 54 caliber. Any pointers would be great. Thx Elkshooter

    Antelope Permission?

Yes...I've never had any luck getting permission by knocking on doors. Lots of the better land is leased to outfitters and they aren't interested in sharing :)
